A metal used to protect critical metal components in a salt water system swimming pool. Pool lights, skimmers, heaters and pool ladders are some of the components that salt water systems will adversely be affected by corrosion. When an anode is properly attached to a component it will tend to corrode and transfer electrons to the component. At the interface between the pool water and the component these electrons will create a chemical reaction that protects your pool component.
